Wisdom is what God gives!

Get Wisdom

Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. {6} Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. {7} Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. (Prov 4:5-7 NIV)

Thank you for the wisdom in this post Tee. God has a plan! I think a lot of people forget that. However, don't beat yourself up over a mistake, instead learn from it that God's love and forgiveness is a wonderful part of that plan.

For me, I have drawn closer and closer to the Lord over the years that most of the religious things of the world, even Christian religions, have fallen away from my eyes in the favor of God's Glory and his presence in my life.

I no longer want to WORK at being religious or work at being a Christian. When you truly love something it stops being work!

For example, I used to build beautiful custom homes in the USA... and even a log church! I did not do this because it was work, or because I planned to be paid or make a profit from it. Most of the houses were for me, but it was not because I couldn't buy a house! I built because it was my hobby to take properties that were hard to build on and build breathtaking homes for me to live in a while! I love it!

Sure, I sweat and had sore muscles - but I never worked a day on any of those houses! Because I loved it.

Just like many students love learning! That is what we are to be! A disciple means student or pupil. Did you know that the Lord NEVER said we should be or make Christians? Christian is only used in the Bible three times in a derogatory way! As in followers of the criminal that the government had to execute!

Our Lord said that we should be Disciples, and that we should make disciples! Learners. So be a learner! That is what pleases the Lord!

(Mat 28:19-20 NIV) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, {20} and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Go and make students!
Go and make pupils!
Go and make Disciples!

Tee, one of the things I tell my kids is that it is better to try and make a mistake, and learn from it, than to not try. Students SHOULD make mistakes, so they can learn. Even the students with top marks! They just make their mistakes and learn from them BEFORE the test!

And that is how we should be. We should learn from our mistakes BEFORE we are seriously tested! Then we will be ready for the test.

(2 Tim 2:15 KJV) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

(John 5:39-40 NIV) You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, {40} yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

In this we see that we study the Scriptures - however it does us no good until we come to the Lord. In other words, we need to apply what we are learning!

So my friend, enjoy that fact that you have both learned and applied the lesson that God taught you. You now have a little more wisdom!

God Bless!

Wisdom

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, {2} turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, {3} and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, {4} and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, {5} then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. {6} For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. {7} He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, {8} for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. {9} Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path. {10} For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. {11} Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. {12} Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
